Our Story
VelaMira is a woman-owned and Black-owned business founded in 2003. It draws its name from constellations, meaning ‘wonderful sails.’ Just as those stars guide sailors, we’re here to help guide you toward the life you were meant to live—full of purpose, balance, and fulfillment.
Our Founder & CEO, Leila Jones, is a seeker-leader who enjoys sharing her journey to help others. Leila has held several roles within VelaMira including government contract manager, website developer, technical writer, trainer, and project manager. Over the years, she felt like something was missing. So, she continued to seek ways that she could express her other interests through her business.
In 2022, Leila discovered Quantum Human Design® and now has eight certifications, transforming her own life and business in the process. Leila learned how to integrate her left-brained and right-brained interests and express her authentic self, personally and professionally. Leila has a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and multiple degrees in metaphysical sciences. She is also a certified health coach through the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute and a HeartMath® Add Heart Facilitator.
